It's funny how we have been in the same schools from elementary to high school, but it wasn't until high school when we first started talking to each other and really became friends... Or in my case became "fake friends" during our first two years of high school, that is. Crossly were hesitant to be friends in the begging but manage to continue our friendship through out high school. Anyhow, crazy how things came to be in the end, as close we have gotten and how helpful you been on bringing the best of me in school, especially when we had english class together back in freshman year in high school, believe me, if I wouldn't have chosen english nine and ten honors with you I wouldn't been as proud on my improvement in better developing my english …show more content…
Instead, you were willing to help me when I would ask for help. I found this juster of yours so meaningful because you never laughed when I didn’t know how to spell certain words or have knowledge of the definition of words that I should have known since elementary. For example, when I didn't know what "excluded" or "irrelevant" meant and how to spell “suppose” or “library” and I’m talking about junior year in high school were there were many words I never understood or couldn't spell. However, you taught me the meaning of those words and how to spell them, from that day forward I focus on the way people talk and would listen to the vocabulary they would use. I came to the realization that I never had an understanding of the meaning of half the words people would use and half of the words adults used I could’t spell and define them. You taught me to pay careful attention to the words adults would speak and take those words I couldn't understand and defined them and use those words to better my essays. Although you still continue to get higher scores on your essays than me, because I'm still not college level as I’m suppose to be, but I am better than how I was in the past, with that being said I want to thank you for your
One day I was taking a hike in the Himalayan mountains and came upon a big wall of stone blocking the path. In the middle of the stone wall was a round little door with a key hanging on a hook beside it. Being cautious I crept up to the door and knocked. I don’t know who would have answered the door if someone had answered. I was puzzled and stuck to the spot thinking of what to do. I decided to walk back to my village way down below and come back tomorrow to see if the wall was still there. When I got home I ran straight to the town square to go to my father’s workshop. I told Papa all about my journey in the mountains. He warned me of animals that would take me away to the darkest corners and eat me up. Just then Tijana came running into the store. “There is a tiger in the rice fields!” he shouted. Every once in awhile the wild beasts from the jungle would come into the valley in which the village sat. Our bravest men would shoot arrows and protect us. When the creature went away or was dead we would celebrate, but that never
This weeks assignment was tough for me also , I am having trouble remembering how to correctly follow the APA format. Being an honest person with high expectations and educational goals, I will strive to correctly give the author credit for their work. The idea of writing down your thoughts before starting a paper could be helpful in your research. I also agree with you that if professional writers have problems with correctly citing their research work, then we as new students must strive to progress in our academic journey.
Being in high school is such a fun and stressful time, only worried about the simple things: grades and boys. Looking back now it was all so easy. It’s my sophomore year and I’m attending Homewood High School; the school year is coming to a close and of course I’m happy. A rumor starts going around that the hardest English teacher Ms. Gnat who is currently teaching 12th grade English will be moving down to teach 11th grade, my friends and I are hoping this is not true. Right before the end of the school year; its confirmed that she will be moving down to the 11th. My friends and I are hoping we don’t get her not knowing it will be the best thing for us.
To me a honors student is someone who wants to push themselves to the best of
It’s not often that people my age take the time to say thank you. In fact it’s rare for people to even think about how others have been an impacted in our lives. Given it the season of thankfulness I’d like to let you know how appreciative I am to have you in my life as a teacher, a counselor, and as a mother who look out for me in school. Before the school year started you came to my school and did a presentation about how Sheridan is and you told me, I had a meeting with you and other important people from the school later on that week. You give me tips on how not to be nervous, keep clam, and just be you.
You have been the best. You’ve been there for me in my sticky situation and helped me to get a new binder and organize all my paper. An I hope this year with you will turn out to be the best and I promise I’ll come if I need help with work or anything else and I hope you stay until next year because your always happy, funny, and so nice to everyone. Mrs. Campbell I want you to have a great thanksgiving and a nice year at carter middle school and maybe another nice year you’re the best.
10) How did the increase in literary styles increase our understanding of this period? How did the political climate influence the quantity and content of literary works? Why do you think there were so many new forms of literature introduced during the first and second centuries?
It's Kevin. You were doing great in school and that was a good sign that you can keep on going without me. It really impressed me how good you were doing and how much you paid attention and improved. God has a plan for this and he made you the way you are no matter how smart or dumb you are. My advice for the future is to its to keep working hard in school. Also keep going on adventures and write in the adventure book. Max you were a good friend even through the tough and easy time. In the short time we were together we made the best of it. Getting purses out of the sewer, running through ponds, and even going on quest, and lots of walks. Thanks for
I will always appreciate your hard work you did during the summer, and the fall semester of two thousand and sixteen in order to have a successful first year in college. I still remember the first day I meet you in the beginning of the EOP program with your big smile and your sweet personality. Without knowing many of the new freshman students you manage to make each one of the students during the summer comfortable with each other and for sure it worked because on the first day, I started to feel comfortable among everybody in the EOP program. Also I will never forget your advice you will give us during the summer and the fall semester about never giving up which you told me multiple times during the summer because I wanted to give up in
You did excellent that year. You had some talking problems here and there. But for the most part you did wonderful. I want to let you know that I'm proud of you even through the difficulties. I love you know matter what. Your last day of school, you and your sibling s had a lot of fun. Y'all had a very big picnic. It was so sad to see y'all cry because it was your last day being able to step foot in there.
The first maybe 12 years of our lives together you were pretty mean to me. You would make wait 3 feet behind you for the bus, wait to get inside, push me in the snow, and overall just harass me. These are just a few of the hundreds of ridiculous, cruel things I had to deal with. However, I believe this made us closer. Now we get along great and I don’t know where I would be without you. You’ve made me a stronger person and
I just wanted to thank you for being there for me and working with me those extra times even though you never had to. I am so happy I was lucky enough to be in the class you teach and that you started this year. You had a huge effect on all of my grades and more than that my overall happiness. You taught me not only things that I have been struggling with in grammar for all of my career in school also not only that you taught me that to be a good student you don't necessarily need an 100% in the class, though it should be something you strive for, but you need to make sure you are there 100% of the time. It was a joy to be in your class, from finding a teacher who shares my love of theater to making the whole class feel like their
I wanted to thank you sincerely, so I figured a letter would suffice. I still have the thank you card you wrote me from freshman year. To be honest, I keep it in my bag so that I see the advice you gave me everywhere I go—“keep writing”. I don’t know if my keeping of it is weird, but I’ve passed the point in my life where the number of people I have weirded out has lost its count. I don’t know how long this will be, so feel free to skip to the end where I will add a “TL;DR” summary.
We’ve been friends since year 9, and that’s a long ass time and I just want to thank you for helping me get through our last 4 years at school. In the future when I look back to my school days, I’ll remember all the amazing times we’ve shared. You’ve been such a big part of my life and an extremely important part as well. So thank you for that, thank you for such an amazing part of my life.
Ava, where do I even start. You have been my best friend since 4th grade. I can’t even describe what our friendship and sisterhood is. My teacher was planning on reading this but, I said no because 1. She wouldn’t understand any of it and 2. I would probably be sent to a mental asylum or kicked out of school even though I only have 2 more days of school not counting today. We have been through hell in back at the least. You have helped me with every problem I have ever had. You helped me with the divorce and my father just being my father and my mother being crazy and my sisters mostly Jessica. If I didn’t have you in my life I am pretty sure I would be homeless and crazy. Even to this day, I call you when I need assistance on knowing what the right thing to do is. And I forgot to mention the assignment was to write someone who has made a change in your life and mentored you. You were easily the first name that came into my mind. I wanted to write this to you not only has an assignment but, to thank you for everything (also if can kinda be like my yearbook thing for you). Well if I haven’t said it thank you. I don't think that you have realized how much you have done for me. You saved me from being alone at Bannockburn from mole and literally everyone. Bannockburn was pretty much hell until you came even though I was like 5. Thank you for helping deal with my crazy parents and just overall family and for literally being my rock. You fix everything even without trying. We
