Chapter 4.6, Problem 1CC
Summary Introduction
To determine: The importance of highly invaginated inner membrane of the mitochondria.
Introduction: A eukaryotic cell consists of many cell organelles enclosed within a plasma membrane. Mitochondria and chloroplast are considered as semi-autonomous organelles because both possess the ability to grow and divide due to the presence of their own DNA. However, they are semi-autonomous as they depend on other parts of the cell, such as cytosol to import their internal components.

As a sperm cell finally approaches its final target, its acrosome becomes activated. The acrosome is a specialized organelle found in the cell’s head region and activation results in the exocytosis of several types of proteolytic enzymes.
Name 2 specific proteins you might expect the enzymes released by the acrosome to breakdown. What purpose does this play in the fertilization of the egg? Explain your reasoning.
Give one disadvantages and advantages of each mitosis and meiosis.
Importance of bonds/bonding in organsims of mitosis. Could you give me a detailed paragraph
